Soccer Simulation 2D League About to be Discontinued

The RoboCup Federation (www.robocup.org) has decided to re-imagine the world's largest robotic soccer initiative as of now. This involves the discontinuation of a number of established RoboCup leagues, such as the Small Size League, the Middle Size League, and the Soccer Simulation Leages. In the future, the initiative aims to consolidate and focus its resources on the design and development of humanoid, soccer-playing robots. While the announced changes may serve as a renewed catalyst for the RoboCup initiative, they signify the end of the FRA-UNIted project in its current form.
The full announcement by the current president of the RoboCup Federation, Ubbo Visser, on behalf of The RoboCup Board of Trustees can be found here.
